14 Jun Supernatural Peace Comes Through Prayer
Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. Philippians 4: 6-7
There’s a simple but powerful promise here that says that the eternal and powerful peace of God is available to us at any time, if we’ll pray through and ask God for His help with whatever we are facing.
There’s an old Pentecostal expression from years ago that emphasized the importance of taking time in prayer until you came to a place of peace: it was called “praying through.” There are times when we all need to pray through some situations until we come to a place of peace.
This call to prayer and promise of God’s peace is something I try to practice every day. I pray in the morning, I pray as I’m driving, I pray through the day for people, for situations, and for God’s will to be done.
There are times when I’m praying for people in tough situations where I will bind the evil forces of hell and ask God to bring freedom and provision. It is important to do Spiritual Warfare through taking authority over evil spirits that seek to deceive and distract people from fulfilling the will of God for their lives.
Thank You Heavenly Father for this promise of your peace in my life. Help me to keep coming to you in prayer and help me to discern those times when I need to be on my knees and pray through some situations. Your peace and joy is something that this world cannot offer! I embrace your presence today and seek to do your will in all things.
