12 Jan Seek Him First
“But seek his kingdom, and these things will be given to you as well. Do not be afraid, little flock, for your Father has been pleased to give you the kingdom.”
Jesus said to seek His kingdom first and then there is the promise that the Father will provide in every way. Our heavenly Father wants us to experience all that His kingdom has to offer, and it’s as we put Him first in our lives that it opens the door for God’s blessing and insight to come to us with everything we need.
When we embrace His kingdom and go His way, we have His entire kingdom made available to us: kingdom promise, kingdom power, kingdom provision and kingdom wisdom for each day. We just need to seek Him first each day. His wisdom is valuable in building healthy relationships in the family, with co-workers, and with our church family. His wisdom is valuable in how we function with our finances and in how we honor Him in giving to Him and to those in need. His wisdom can help us deal with any and every challenge we face.
I am touched with my Father’s heart that wants me to experience the fullness of his love and kingdom. I need to keep making the decision to seek Him each day, for it is from a life of prayer and being rich in His Word that there will be all of the resources of heaven for me to live as a kingdom person. I need His promises, His power, His provision and His wisdom each day. I set my heart to seek him this day.
Dear Father, I rededicate my heart to seeking You. Thank You for the promise of your kingdom that touches every area of my life. Thank You that You have given me everything I need for life and godliness. Lord Jesus, help me to please you in everything today. Let the words of my mouth and the meditations of my heart be acceptable in your sight. Fill me with your Holy Spirit that I may move in kingdom power this day.
