07 Jan Nothing is too Hard for the Lord
Then the LORD said to Abraham, “Why did Sarah laugh and say, ‘Will I really have a child, now that I am old?’ Is anything too hard for the LORD ? I will return to you at the appointed time next year and Sarah will have a son.” Genesis 18: 13-14
In this great story of the Lord’s fulfillment of a son to Abraham, there is the challenge the Lord makes to Abraham and his wife, Sarah: “Is anything too hard for the Lord?”
These words from the Lord echo through the centuries to anyone who would be facing their own barrenness and unfruitfulness. What the Lord says to Abraham He says to you and me: “Is anything too hard for the Lord?” What we need to do is look at the impossibilities of life and look for God to work His miracles in those areas. These miracles may have more to do with the transformation of our lives than anything else. But we need to come to God and be bold to believe for great things, because He is a God of greatness and provision. It’s His will that we be fruitful and effective for our Lord and Savior.
It’s always a great discipline to be looking for ways to implement a strong faith that activates the supernatural in our lives. I am seeing some of the ways that God wants to transform me and the people I pastor in the New Year and I know there will be great blessing and fruitfulness as we cooperate with the supernatural power of God’s Spirit.
Nothing is too hard for the Lord, and I am inspired to believe God for some big miracles in 2016. He is able and faithful to hear our prayers and respond in such a way that we will see great miracles in the coming year. God wants to heal, restore and bring reconciliation to those who may have been separated by divisiveness or a breakdown in relationship. He wants to bring financial stability where there is financial uncertainty. God wants to bring maturity so that there will be a growing team of leaders and disciplers who will bring others into a high level of commitment to the Lord.
Lord Jesus, I respond to your call to believe and contend for the miraculous in the coming New Year. Fill me with your Holy Spirit so that I may be able to challenge the impossible situations with your love and power. Nothing is too hard for You, and I ask that You give me the strength and wisdom to press through in prayer and obedience so that I can realize all the great benefits of following You and trusting You.
